New Fabric

As I sit at my sewing table eyeing up my new finds, I can't help but smile. There is a sense of calm then comes over me when I sew.

Sewing is like a good cup of coffee or a relaxing walk in the woods. It gives me time to think and to create.

From a pile of fabric to a fuzzy creature with character, I can't think of anything I would rather be doing.

I hope everyone is enjoy their day and staying warm!

I love great fabric...like any other art supply it brings joy and possibilities. I just recently got some of my grandma's fabric scraps which includes some awesome velvet. I look forward to seeing your new creations with your new finds!

I love your blog! I can't believe I didn't check it out sooner! A graphic designer friend of mine has been working on redoing my blog in her spare time (which she doesn't have much of since the super slow redesign) and always asks me to point out blogs I'm fond of and you certainly make the list!

And I agree - great fabric is a great motivator for new ideas! Really like the looks of that red/cream herringbone pattern one too!

Lrc: There is a plumb velvet shirt in the bottom of one of my fabric tubes. I've never done anything with it, but the texture is divine!

Kate: Thanks! I really like it. There are so many ways on either side to expand, but yet it still looks somewhat organized ;)
