Let the fun times roll

During the past few months I've realized that I don't take care of myself very well. I will sew for hours and hours forgetting to eat or take a break. Don't get me wrong, I love sewing more than anything else in the world, but a girl must eat! My husband has suggested that I start setting an alarm so that every few hours I will have a reminder to take a break. This seems to be working well. But even with the hectic schedule I am so very happy to be doing what I'm doing. Everyday I wake up and I'm excited to begin my day, some people don't have that luxury. But I understand that it could all go away and so I am thankful for each day.

In the upcoming months my project list is shorter and will mostly revolve around stocking my shop. This week I sent off my submissions to Stuffed Magazine and GreenCraft Magazine

I was cutting it really close to the deadline but that means it will be that much shorter to find out if I was accepted ;) I haven't submitted to GreenCraft before but my Eco plush would definitely fit in. From their website: "Finding creative uses for old items is nothing new to artists, but the spirit of preserving the planet is more important than ever before and GreenCraft Magazine is here to honor and inspire those who find artistic applications for normally discarded resources."

February should be a month solely devoted to my shop. I plan to sew whatever pops into my head! After this month things will start to get a little crazy again. My sister is due the day after my two year wedding anniversary so we will be spending that by her side waiting for my niece to be born. But she better hurry because one week after that I will be heading off to a plush retreat with the Plush Team

I am super excited to finally meet the other members in person. I haven't decided if I should take this time to totally goof off or to be a little productive. Although, I can't really see myself going four days without sewing! I am a little nervous because, believe it or not, I'm really shy until I get to know someone.

So with the few fun side trips in the next few months, things should actually be slowing down for me! What this means for you:

  • New designs

  • Better stocked shop

  • New Giveaway

  • New goodies with orders

  • And general happiness ;)

OH you better take care of yourself. :) I want to see what you are up to next. If you're sick it will slow it all down and you have some awesome ideas and creativity ahead of you. :) xoxo Have a blast at the retreat!
